Focus
I made this short game for the Big Game Jam #5 by GDevelop (the other link is https://gd.games/cardvark61/focus-). It follows the theme "Unstable" because each weapon has a unique mechanic that makes it less accurate (or more unstable) under certain conditions. I hope you enjoy playing it.
-Controls-
WASD or Arrow Keys to move
LMB to shoot (when you have a gun)
RMB to use a melee attack (enemies will be highlighted in red when you can do this)
Escape to pause
-Weapons-
Fists (Number 0): Provide no benefit
Pistol (Number 1): Has an unlimited fire rate, but you must stabilize your aim by holding the LMB, or else it will have terrible accuracy. It does an average amount of damage.
Machinegun (Number 2): Has a high rate of fire and good accuracy, but continuous firing will make it less accurate. It deals slightly below average damage.
Rifle (Number 3): Slow, but extremely powerful. It can destroy normal enemies in a single shot. However, one must stand still while using it to stabilize the shot.
-Tips-
-Enemies take around half a second to kill you, so don't let them get close enough to shoot at you
-If an enemy gets shot, they will walk towards the location of the shot or turn in the direction of the bullet
-Higher-ranking enemies have 2 stars on each shoulder, and have significantly more health
-Your health will regenerate after a few seconds
-If the game is too hard, you can change the settings to make it easier
-Skins do not provide any benefits and are purely aesthetic
-Known Bugs-
-Enemy projectiles can go through walls, but cannot hit the player through a wall
-The player can shoot enemies through thin walls
-Oil from injured enemies can greatly slow down the game (you can make oil go away faster in the settings)
-Increasing the player's max speed makes the rifle significantly less accurate
-The music will sometimes fail to change. If there are issues with the music, the music can be reset by changing the music volume in the settings
-Credits-
Most graphics are from kenney.nl, or were made by me
Sound effects and music are GDevelop assets or are from Construct 2 Assets
