OverVolt
Scrap hordes of robots with a variety of weapons! You can increase your power level, but doing so will cause you to take damage if you do not kill enemies quickly enough. Green powerups restore your health; circular powerups increase your damage and give you a new weapon.
The game fits the Jam's theme (Overpowered) because the player can increase their "power level" before starting. This increases their strength, but also causes them to take damage at an increasing rate if they do not kill enemies.
Controls:
Arrow Keys: Move and aim
Z: Jump
X: Shoot
Q: Toggle performance mode
W: Toggle screenshake and bloom
E: Skip music track
R: Spawn powerup (for debug)
Known Issues:
-Enemies can get stuck in the corners, or hidden behind the UI
-The game still needs some balancing, since the beginning is too hard
-Some objects do not pause while aiming with the Null Rifle
-The Null Rifle is also poorly optimized
-Choosing a low power level makes the player do very little damage

pretty good.
one thing is that when the gear is moving laterally there is no way to hit it, cause you can't catch up to him. maybe if you had diagonal shooting or move fster than the gear.
